My partner and I had the best date night at Polpetta New Plymouth! We ordered Crispy Squid, Pani Puri, Prawns Padoka, and a Tandoori half to start, huge portions for two islanders but surprisingly so light and packed with flavour. For mains we had the Biryani, Chicken Parma, cheese naan, and a Mango Lassi. I chose medium spice and it had a good kick, but the flavour was unreal! The Chicken Parma was something I’ve never tasted before, absolutely delicious. The Mango Lassi was the perfect cool-down too. The food was amazing, but the staff were even better. So kind, attentive, and welcoming. Highly recommend dining here!

Sooooo much better than when I went years ago. The range of food is well catered for and the gentleman who served us was so kind, considerate and really made us feel welcomed and appreciated. The food was exciting, flavourful and so amazing we highly recommend trying the pani puri, bacon and meat pizza and there curries. We had an absolute ball here and will definitely be going back. Thank you for a beautiful delicious experience

I highly recommend Polpetta in New Plymouth for a Sunday lunch. We are from Melbourne and were visiting family. There were five adults. We shared the following entrees: Tandoori chicken, papdi chaat, pani puri, and my favorite: prawns pakoda (fried prawns coated in chickpea flour and spices), an absolute highlight. Crunchy light batter. For our main we had bhindi masala and kadhai paneer with plain rice and Amritsari kulcha (bread with potato stuffing with some dried fenugreek leaves). Service was great. I really enjoyed all the food. Hard recommend and will go back again.

Hands down, the best Indian Cuisine I've tasted. Friendly service, food 2nd to none and I've been to many Indian restaurants throughout New Zealand. Cant recommend highly enough. If your in New Plymouth and have a hankering for a curry, look no further. Can I give this place 10 stars?.
A spur of the moment booking and it has been years since we have been to Polpetta. Menu expanded but for the better. Meatballs were incredible, as was the Honey Chilli Potato. Drinks menu great and dessert the perfect ending. Attentive staff, well priced, delicious food. Will definitely return and recommend. Only downside was the decor lacked atmosphere.
